#20 Men's Tennis Travels To Face #70 Southern Miss

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The No. 22 ranked University of Miami men’s tennis team travels to face No. 70 Southern Mississippi Saturday afternoon in New Orleans, La. on the campus of Tulane University.

The Hurricanes are 1-0 on the young season after defeating No. 48 FAU 4-3 Wednesday night. USM (0-1) fell 5-2 it its season opener to No. 17 Mississippi State.

This will be the first meeting between Miami and the Golden Eagles.

UM received singles victories from Michael Lang (Sarasota, Fla.), Jose Lieberman (Los Angeles, Ca.) and Andrew Golub (Miami, Fla.) in the win over FAU.

Miikka Kangas of USM scored a big upset of the No. 24-ranked player in the nation, Rene-Charles Combette, with a 6-3, 6-3, victory in the loss to Miss. State.

Miami will face No. 42 Tulane (1-1) on Sunday.
