Lawson Wins 60-Hurdles At Last Chance Meet

Baton Rouge, LA (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami senior Sharianne Lawson (Palm Beach Lakes) won the 60-meter hurdles with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 8.22 at the LSU Last Chance Meet in Baton Rouge, LA.

Lawson’s winning time is a personal best and ranks 12th in the nation heading into the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, March 14-15, in Fayetteville, AR.

In the 60-meters freshman India Ransom (Largo, MD) finished third with personal-best mark of 7.51. Senior All-American Gina Harris (Philadelphia, PA) finished seventh (7.62). Harris also competed in the long jump finishing third with a leap of 6.17 meters (20-03.00).
