Widom, Golub Selected to All-Tournament Team

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – – University of Miami men’s tennis player Todd Widom was selected as the Most Outstanding Tournament Player following the recent BIG EAST Conference Championship at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center on the Coral Gables campus.
Widom (Coral Way, Fla.) was also selected to the All-Tournament Team in singles, as was Miami’s Andrew Golub (Miami, Fla.).
Widom defeated Greg Schweitzer of Rutgers 6-2, 6-1 at first singles during the Hurricanes 4-0 rout of the Scarlet Knights.

The Hurricanes went on to be awarded the automatic bid to the NCAA Championship when the final match against Notre Dame was halted due to persistent rains in south Florida.
Widom has been consistently ranked within the top-25 collegiate tennis players in the nation. He is currently ranked No 21. His record on the season is 22-8 overall and 12-5 in dual matches.
