Darden Wins 400-Meter Hurdles at Penn Relays

Philadelphia, Pa. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s track team completed day one at the Penn Relays. Dominique Darden (Harrisburg, Pa.) won the 400 meter hurdles in 55.60, the second fastest time by an American this outdoor season.
Darden was also part the 4×100 meter relay that finished in first place in the preliminary heat running 44.64. Amy Seward (Miami, Fla.), Charlette Greggs (Miami, Fla.) and India Ransom (Largo, Md.) were also part of the relay.
Greggs was also part of the 4×400 meter relay that won its heat Thursday afternoon. Krista Simkins (Wissahickon, Pa.), Ginou Etienne (Miami, Fla.) and Ena Leufroy (Atlanta, Ga.) were part of the relay that ran 3:31.07, an NCAA regional time.
The Hurricanes will run day two of the Penn Relays tomorrow. Results will be available on www.thepennrelays.com and on hurricanesports.com.
