Hurricanes Remain 12th In South Region Poll

Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami men’s cross country team remained 12th in this week’s United States Track and Field, Cross Country Coaches Association South Region rankings released Tuesday.

Miami, which did not compete this past weekend, will host a tri-meet against Florida Atlantic and Florida International this Thursday, October 12 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Tropical Park in Miami.

The event is free to the public.

The Hurricanes have been led by senior Jon Scheiner (Katy, Texas) who has been Miami’s top finisher in two of three races this season. At the Auburn Invitational on September 30 he finished 23rd overall with a time of 24:57.77 over eight kilometers marking the third fastest time at that distance in University of Miami history.
