Dennis Raben Named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

May 5, 2008 Coral Gables, FLA (www.hurricanesports.com) — – Junior right fielder Dennis Raben has been chosen as the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the period April 28 to May 5. Raben led the No. 1 ranked Miami Hurricanes to a three-game sweep of Saint Mary’s (Calif.) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (May 2-4) as he hit .538 (7-for-13) in the series, tallying 11 total bases, slugging .846 and owning a .571 on-base percentage. He tied career-highs with four hits and four RBI in the series finale win and hit his sixth homer of the season. He reached base in all five at-bats. The Hurricanes baseball team, 39-5 on the season, returns to action at Virginia Tech May 9-11. |
