Hurricanes Run at the ITA Championships Ends With Doubles Loss

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – University of Miami’s 16th-ranked doubles team of Bianca Eichkorn and Anna Bartenstein was eliminated from main draw play Saturday at the ITA/Riviera All-American Championships with a 9-7 loss to Duke’s Ella Nze and Nadine Fahoum at the Riviera Tennis Club.

The loss for the 16th-ranked team of Eichkorn and Bartenstein came after back-to-back wins over Top 50 opponents in Virginia’s 12th-ranked tandem of Lindsey Hardenbergh and Erin Vierra and Texas A&M’s 45th-ranked duo of Morgan Frank and Nazari Urbina.

The `Canes will now shift their focus to the ITA Southeast Regional set for Oct. 22-25 at the Dan Magill Tennis Center in Athens, Ga.
