Hill and Williams to Compete at NCAA Indoor Championships

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Juniors Tarika Williams and Devon Hill represent the University of Miami at the 2011 NCAA Indoor National Championships, held Friday and Saturday at Texas A&M’s Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium in College Station, Texas.

Williams won an Atlantic Coast Conference championship in the 200m dash with a time of 23.27 seconds – the third fastest time in school history.

Hill’s championship came in the 60m hurdles, where he beat the field in Blacksburg, Va. in 7.76 seconds. Earlier in the season, Hill broke his own school record with a time of 7.71 seconds.

Each student-athlete will compete in preliminary heats beginning Friday with Hill in the hurdles at 4:45 p.m. CST. Williams will race at 6:30 p.m. If they advance, Williams would run later in the night at 8 p.m., while the 60m hurdle final will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
