BASEBALL GAMEDAY: 'Canes and Deacs Set for Game Two

March 19, 2011

Winston-Salem, N.C. – The University of Miami and Wake Forest return to the diamond Saturday evening for the second game of a three-game ACC stretch at Wake Forest Baseball Park in Winston-Salem, N.C., with the opening pitch scheduled for 4 p.m. Sophomore right-hander E.J. Encinosa takes the mound for Miami in game two, and southpaw Tim Cooney toes the rubber for the Demon Deacons of Wake.

Behind the hitting of Michael Broad – and the pitching of the entire staff, including Bryan Radziewski’s career-high 10 strikeouts – the University of Miami claimed a 4-1 series-opening victory from Wake Forest on Friday. Broad went 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs, while Sam Robinson and Daniel Miranda closed things out on the hill in the eighth and ninth to extend the Hurricanes’ winning streak to five.

WVUM’s Adam Berger and Mike Diaz will have the radio call and can be listened to at 90.5 FM in the Coral Gables area or from anywhere online at WVUM.org.

All Hurricanes baseball games this season will feature a live in-game chat that gives fans the opportunity to interact with each other. Click on the Cover It Live graphic below to interact 30 minutes prior to opening pitch.
