'Canes Down USF in Second Spring Scrimmage
April 4, 2011

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – After playing to a 1-1 tie with a University of Florida team ranked 12th in the nationally at the end of 2010 season, the `Canes continued their progress this spring by beating USF on Sunday, 1-0.
The Hurricane goal came from sophomore Jordan Roseboro, who struck the ball in the lower left corner of the net from 18 yards out after dodging numerous USF defenders. Roseboro finished her sophomore campaign as one of the team leaders in points and goals.
New head coach Tom Anagnost is hoping to see steady improvement from all of his players throughout the spring.
“Our coaching staff strongly believes if our players’ mental approach to everything gets stronger and improves a little every day they will be able to train more consistently and at a higher level,” Anagnost reflected after the match. “Once this happens, their play, both individually and collectively, will only get better.”
