Miami Mourns Loss of Austen Everett

CORAL GABLES, Fla.– TheUniversity of Miami is saddened by the news of Austen Everett’s passingyesterday in her hometown of Seattle, Washington. Austen was a beloved memberof the Hurricanes women’s soccer team from 2007-2009.

“On behalf of thesoccer team and the entire University of Miami, we mourn the loss of a greatHurricane in Austen Everett,” head coach Tom Anagnost said. “She lefta lasting legacy of inspiration on our program and we look forward tocelebrating her life this fall.” 

The University of Miamii will host a candlelight vigil to honor Austen’s life in the near future. Additional information, including date, time and place, will be available in the coming days.
