Patchan Signs Grant-In-Aid Agreement

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami football program signed rising senior defensive end Scott Patchan to a grant-in-aid agreement Monday.

Patchan, rated a four-star prospect by both Rivals.com and ESPN, recorded 56 total tackles including 24 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks as a junior at Freedom High School in Tampa, Fla. He recently transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. for his senior season.

The 6-foot-6, 240-pound Patchan is rated as the 16th best defensive end in the Class of 2015 by 247Sports. He also earned a top 20 rating at his position from Rivals.com (19) and a top 30 rating at his position from ESPN (30).
