UM Hoops Teams Set for ESPN3 Season Preview

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s and women’s basketball teams will be highlighted on ESPN3 Tuesday morning in season preview shows.

The Hurricane men are set to be featured from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by the women’s team from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The voice of the Miami Hurricanes, Joe Zagacki, will host both broadcasts.

Both shows will begin with interviews with the team’s head coach, followed by a feature story and then further interviews. The men’s program will be available HERE and the women’s portion can be found HERE.

The Miami men’s team is under the direction of Jim Larrañaga, who is entering his fifth season at the helm, and is receiving votes in the AP Poll and the USA TODAY Coaches Poll. The team was selected fifth in the ACC preseason poll after advancing to the championship of the 2015 National Invitation Tournament.

The Hurricane women, led by 11th-year head coach Katie Meier, were selected sixth in the ACC preseason polls and are receiving votes in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll. Miami made its sixth-straight postseason appearance last season, reaching the second round of the 2015 NCAA Tournament.

Twenty men’s and women’s basketball games at the BankUnited will be carried on ESPN3 this year, including both teams’ exhibition openers Wednesday. The women play Nova Southeastern at 4 p.m., followed by the men taking on Dowling at 7 p.m.
