Assistant Coach Petar Danolic

Bosnia is my home country.

I started playing tennis at the age of nine. I received a tennis racquet as a present from my uncle. I started hitting tennis balls against the wall of my school, and I liked it.

When I played Tennis as a child, I pretended to be Thomas Muster.

Leaving Bosnia was a necessity.

I came to the United States because of tennis.

I coach because I have love and respect for the game.

Two of my most memorable moments playing tennis took place during my playing days at Texas Tech. My greatest moment playing tennis was beating an NCAA Champion my freshman year, but my most memorable moment was clinching the match against Arkansas during my sophomore year of college. It was special for so many reasons.

I’ll never forget the day my daughter was born.

To be a Miami Hurricane is an honor.

My goal is to win a National Championship.

I’ve learned that everything is a process.

The U is my life at this moment in time.

Nobody knows I can ski really well. I have been skiing my whole life.

When I was younger, I wanted to be a basketball player.

My favorite quote is one said by Vince Lombardi. “I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle – victorious.”

Away from tennis, I like to fish.
