Miami Travels To ACC Women's Golf Championship

Charlotte, N.C. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s golf team will compete this weekend at the ACC Women’s Golf Championship, April 15-17, at Carmel Country Club in Charlotte, N.C.

Miami enters its first ACC Championship having won three of four tournaments this spring including the Ryder Florida Women’s Collegiate Golf Championship two weeks ago, its first State Championship since 1993.

The Hurricanes are led by senior Tina Miller (Miami Archbishop Curley Notre Dame) who has won three tournaments this season including her last two starts. Miller currently ranks 15th in the nation in the NCAA Division I Golfstat Cup rankings and leads Miami with a 73.9 stroke average.

The Hurricanes are ranked 41st in the nation by Golfweek and will face a strong field including top-ranked Duke, No. 15 Wake Forest, No. 29 Virginia, No. 37 North Carolina State, Florida State, Maryland and North Carolina.

Play will begin at 8 a.m. each day. Miami will be paired with Virginia for the opening round.
